ING, Yıl Sonu Dolar/TL Tahminini Sabit Tutuyor

ING, dolar/TL exchange rate to end the first half of the year at 39.67, and expected to reach 43 by year-end.

ING economists have revealed their latest currency exchange forecasts in a macro assessment note concerning Turkey.

In the note shared by the bank’s economists, it was stated that “Turkey’s macro policy is currently at its most restrictive level since the program’s launch. Accordingly, gradual reserve accumulation has resumed, core inflation showed marked improvement in May, indicating that the volatility experienced in March had limited lasting effects.”

ING economists indicated that it is unlikely the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey will adjust its policy rate in the meeting on June 19, and they expect growth to decline from 3.2% in 2024 to 2.8% in 2025.

Economists warned that the possibility of further economic weakness should not be overlooked, emphasizing their optimism regarding the future of Turkish dollar bonds.

Furthermore, economists announced their predictions for the dollar rate at 39.67 and 43 for the end of the first half and the year, respectively. Previous estimates were set at 39.44 and 43.
